Ministries at Trinity!

Family Ministries sends a birthday card to every Church member. Monthly birthdays also are celebrated in the gathering area, with refreshements, during "Time Together." When a member passes away, Family Ministries provides funeral arrangements and other means of compassion. Families welcoming new babies into their homes can expect a rose on the altar from Family Ministries during the Sunday worship service.

This group plans and oversees programs that minister to the needs of church members. Re-occurring programs include Sunday school, Bible studies, prayer groups, vacation Bible school, the fall festival, wonderful Wednesdays, and numerous special activities, many of which include meals.

Our mission is to show love to others with open arms by our prayers, presence, gifts and service in order to commit and connect with our recipients so we can make a difference in their lives while following the examples of Jesus.

Outreach Team

Outreach Team members are Patsy Boggs , Chairperson; Shirley Scurry, Jennifer Bazer, Tom Lloyd, Ulysses Juntilla and Elizabeth Taylor.

There are two Prayer Groups, one meets every Thursday at 7 a.m. and one meets every Monday at 7 p.m.

There are five adult Sunday School classes that meet from 9:45 - 10:45 a.m. each Sunday morning. If you are not a member of one of them, please visit a class this Sunday.

Purpose of the United Methodist Women

United Methodist Women is a community of women whose purpose is to know God and to experience freedom as whole persons through Jesus Christ, to develop a creative supportive fellowship and to expand concepts of mission through participation in the global ministries of the church.

Our PURPOSE helps us to know who we are, whose we are and for what purpose we have organized. We participate in Gods mission in all areas of life. The four mission emphases reflected in the PURPOSE are: Spiritual Growth, Social Action, Education and Interpretation, and Membership Nurture and Outreach.

In the United States , 800,000 lay women have chosen to be members of this special organization, United Methodist Women! This community of women is:

centered in relationship with God through Jesus Christ;

focused on ministries with women, children and youth;

involved in mission locally and globally;

committed to inclusiveness; and

pledged to provide financial support for mission through Mission Giving.

The primary task of the Witness Ministies is to ensure that our congregation reaches out to people with the "Good News of Jesus Christ" and receives them into its care so that these people may come to know and respond to the love of God and live as Christian disciples.

Witness Team

Witness Team members are Charles McNeill , Chairperson; Boots Morgan, John Ballentine, Jewel Pearcy, Grover Shuler, Heather Young, Tom Geddens and Phil Lavender.

The Worship Ministry team is in charge of coordinating the worship services at Trinity. These duties include acolytes, flowers, music, and ushers.
