Bring-a-Friend Sunday

Dear Friends,

Andrew spent a day with Jesus, then he brought his brother to meet the Lord.

Phillip met Jesus by the roadside, then he found his friend Nathaniel and brought him to meet Jesus.

Like Andrew and Phillip, you too, have some friends, relatives or acquaintances who need to meet Jesus. The leaders of our church family have joined me in launching a major effort to reach out to these friends of ours, showing them the love of Jesus Christ in our lives.

Our plan is to celebrate Bring a Friend Sunday on December 17th. his will be one of the best times ever for you to invite an unchurched friend or acquaintance who does not attend a church elsewhere to join you for worship and fellowship at our church.

You may feel nervous and uncertain about inviting someone to church. I understand your feelings since I often feel the same way. Here are a few tips that may help relieve sweaty palms:

* Begin to pray daily for God to help you identify a friend, relative or acquaintance to whom you can reach out and invite to church.

* Start going out of our way to visit with that person. As your friendship grows, so will your confidence.

I invite you to join us in this exciting adventure of Bring a Friend Sunday ... purposefully seeking to care for the real needs of a friend.

The success of this REACHING OUT in Jesus name depends upon the initiative and dedication of each individual member of our congregation.

Our goal is to have at least 50 new friends at Trinity on December 17th. Stay posted for what our celebration will be when we achieve this wonderful goal.

With Love for and from Jesus,

Pastor David
