From the Pastor at Trinity!

The time is getting closer when Easter, the holiest of days, is to be celebrated, and I can hardly wait. Of all the days of the year, including Christmas, none excite me like this day. Many different things account for my enthusiasm. I look forward to singing those hymns like, He Lives and Christ the Lord Is Risen Today. I look forward to getting up early for the Sunrise Service down at the Riverwalk and eating breakfast afterwards, especially Miss Annies delicious cinnamon rolls. And I really look forward to hearing again the glorious message concerning the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

No, for the Christian, there isnt any other day of the year that can compare with the anticipation and excitement that comes with Easter. This is true because such a day has everything to do with our hope and our salvation. Without Easter, or without the resurrection, as the great apostle Paul said, Our preaching is useless and so is our faith.

I thank God that our faith and witness is not in vain because of the fact that we serve a Risen Savior!!! And I praise the holy name of Jesus because of the fact that death, sin and the grave have been swallowed up in victory!!!

Yes, we have reason to celebrate! We have reason to get excited! We have reason to testify to this great truth! And we have reason to rejoice every day of our lives, not just one Sunday out the year. For, indeed, Christ has died, Christ is risen, Christ will come again!!!

Yes, Easter is coming!!! So get all excited and tell everybody!!! And Invite a friend or family member to church this Sunday and every Sunday!!!
