Reaching New People June 2016 Update

Reaching New People held the first Training Session on April 30 with 12 people attending.  The session included a devotional kick-off, a bus tour of our community, lunch at a local restaurant and a session on how to invite and conduct elbow activities. 

The next session will be held on Saturday, June 18 from 10 am – 2 pm.  A sign up sheet is on the table in the Gathering Area.  Plan to attend this workshop to learn more about how successful churches reach new people and become a part of this effort.

Reaching out to our community in new ways is the cornerstone of the Reaching New People effort.  One of the plans made by the team was to recognize underappreciated people in our community.  On Saturday, May 14, Linda Maloch, Aiden Hornsby and Jeanette Hornsby took donuts to the West Columbia Fire Department.  They were very appreciative of our thinking of them.  We have plans to recognize police officers, paramedics, nursing home employees, nurses and teachers.  Anyone can do this!  Please let Jeanette, Linda, Rusty Poole or Pastor Donna know if you’re interested in participating.
